NVH Simulation Engineer Consultant

NVH Simulation Engineer Consultant

TREMEC in Zedelgem is part of the international TREMEC Corporation, which has more than 2,000 employees spread across four locations in Mexico, the US and Belgium. At our site in Zedelgem (near Bruges), more than 150 engineers and colleagues work on the development, testing, prototyping and production of high-tech drive systems and subsystems for high-performance, top-of-the-line vehicles!

About the job

You will be part of TREMEC’s special analysis team, where you contribute directly to the development of next‑generation transmission systems. In this role, you guide design and development engineers in defining structural parts (casings) and geartrain components to ensure the product meets its NVH targets.

Your expertise allows you to translate complex physical behaviour into well‑founded simulations that accurately predict system and component NVH performance. At the end of each design phase, you deliver a clear, well‑structured report and a properly set‑up model that supports further development and validation.

About you

You bring both technical depth and analytical maturity to the table. Instead of simply checking boxes, you combine experience, insight and curiosity to push our NVH capabilities further.

  • A Master’s degree in Engineering forms the solid foundation of your technical background.
  • Over five years of hands‑on experience with Romax Spectrum, ideally gained within the automotive industry, give you strong domain expertise.
  • Familiarity with FEA methods and tools is part of your toolkit, and experience with Abaqus adds clear value.
  • You have a strong grasp of modal analysis and transfer path analysis, enabling you to assess NVH behaviour with confidence.
  • NVH testing methods are not new to you, and you’re able to correlate test results with simulation predictions effectively.
  • Defining gear geometry and understanding how it influences NVH performance is something you’re comfortable with.
  • You communicate fluently in English, with Dutch or Spanish considered an advantage.
